Congratulations

A dear friend of mine won 2 awards of excellence last night from the Art Directors Association of Iowa.

It is important to have friends. It is important that your friends are people you respect and have values you admire. Use this as a test: if you have a friend that you can't introduce to your mother, you probably shouldn't be friends with that person.

Most mothers, the good ones, know that who you "hang around with" is a huge factor in how you will act in the world. Find the best people and "hang around" them. This is true for your whole life, not just when you are a kid. I have some wonderful people as my friends. I appreciate them and experience my own joy watching them succeed.
